As a Remote Support Engineer DC Chargers, you support the global service team with technical advice and troubleshooting for DC fast charging stations (20kW–500kW). You analyze data from cloud-connected service systems, advise on electrical and mechanical issues, and help develop new features. Your responsibilities include remote diagnostics, SLA-driven case management for key accounts, and supporting software rollouts. You will also contribute to the knowledge base by writing instructions and manuals, and act as an expert for local and regional service teams. This role is primarily remote, with a focus on evening and weekend shifts, and is essential for maximizing charger uptime and customer satisfaction worldwide.

You will join an internationally active organization specializing in comprehensive solutions for electric vehicle charging. The portfolio includes AC wallboxes for residential use and DC fast charging stations with robust, stable connectivity deployed in over 80 countries worldwide. The company is engaged in the full lifecycle of EV charging infrastructure: R&D, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance, with a focus on accelerating emission-free mobility. The team provides 24/7 advanced technical support, remote diagnostics, and SLA-based case management for key accounts, including major fleets and public charging networks. Knowledge sharing, evidence-based problem-solving, and continuous improvement are central—supported by structured training, technical documentation, and close collaboration with both global and regional service partners. The installed base includes thousands of chargers, including ABB and other leading brands, ensuring exposure to a wide range of technologies and real-world cases.

Wat ga je doen als Medior Remote Support Engineer DC Chargers?
  • Support the global service team with technical advice and troubleshooting for DC charging systems (20kW–500kW)
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical or mechanical issues based on data from cloud-connected service systems
  • Support local and regional e-mobility service organizations worldwide with escalated case resolution
  • Advise customers and field engineers on operating and maintaining charging sites and networks
  • Monitor charger performance and support software rollouts remotely
  • Act as a knowledge base for local service teams
  • write instructions and manuals to inform and train staff
  • Propose improvements and help maintain the technical knowledge base
  • Coordinate on-site interventions with service partners and escalate complex issues to Tier 3 experts as needed.

Over jou

Wat neem je mee?
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, IT) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with electrical installations is a plus
  • Knowledge of EV charging systems (20kW–500kW) preferred
  • Familiarity with Linux/software development is a plus
  • Strong English communication
  • another European language (e.g., Spanish, Italian, German) is a strong plus
  • Available for remote evening/weekend shifts (13:00–22:00 and/or 17:00–01:00, Tue–Sun)
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and solution-oriented
